CEO Eric Schmidt has tipped mobile web access as the internet revolution for this generation and believes Google will empower pay per click advertisers with niche targeting options. His thoughts are based on Google plans to launch an wireless network in the US in the near future.
Rival Yahoo has also tipped mobile pay per click advertising as food for thought and has signed deals with several networks in its bid to beat Google to the lucrative first wave of mobile advertising spend.
