Yahoo Launches PPC SmartAds

Allowing advertisers to target the message and creative of their advertising presence, SmartAds are triggered by user online behaviour and tailored specifically to their actions.

If a search user keys in beaches Marbella for example in the search engine, they will be shown adverts promoting flights to the best beaches in the city. The SmartAds system has been beta tested for several months, allowing Yahoo to fine tune its behavioural targeting systems.

The search engine wants to empower advertisers to deliver highly targeted marketing messages to a large consumer audience.
